See & Do in Thredbo
There are plenty of things to see and do in Thredbo and the surrounding areas.

Winter in Thredbo
Thredbo has won Australia's Best Ski Resort award consecutively for 5 years in a row and for good reason. Thredbo's vast ski terrain caters to all ages and abilities to make sure everyone has a great time on the slopes!

If the weather on the slopes is a bit wet or you feel like a rest day our favourite thing to do is go on a scenic drive through the beautiful NSW high country. Our favourite drive is done to Geehi Hut or even to Khancoban.

There is lots to do in Thredbo in winter - follow the link to the Thredbo website

Thredbo has skiing for beginner through to advanced and expert levels. Kosciusko quad chair runs from the Valley Terminal which is an easy, flat, 5 minute walk from Tombarra 4B.

The Cruiser quad chair services the Merritts spur area and provides access to Antons T bar on Central Spur

Friday Flat is Thredbo's beginners area, and is a 5 minute bus ride from Tombarra 4B - catch the bus from the Bus stop in front of Thredbo Alpine Apartments (near the service station), 2 minutes from the front door. From Friday Flat you can ride the Gunbarrel quad chair to Central Spur, also providing access to the main mountain and Merritts spur.

If you don't want to ski or board, take a walk along the Pipeline trail
Summer in Thredbo
Thredbo is not only a renowned winter destination but also a premier summer destination. Summer in Thredbo offers not only access to some of Australia's most beautiful hiking trails including Mt Kosciusko which is Australia's highest mountain, but also Australia's longest mountain biking trails and more.

Our favourite activity is to take a hike on one of the nature trails around Thredbo. See more about some self-guided walks here:

Bring or hire a mountain bike and enjoy the trails around Thredbo - either up and down the Thredbo valley or on the mountain. Go to the Gallery to see more mountain biking pictures!

Thredbo Village
Thredbo Village is only a 5-minute walk from Tombarra 4B and is home to many bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. The village comes to life at night creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

We love to visit The Village Square Bakery for a coffee and a salad roll in the sun and also love to grab dinner and some drinks from The Local Pub after a hard day skiing.

Check out the Thredbo website for more information!

The bakery is open 365 days a year! We recommend their coffee and salad rolls - YUM!

In winter the Flare run takes place down the main mountain on Saturday nights and down Friday Flat on Thursdays. The best view for the main mountain is from the Alpine Way, high above the village - a 10 minute walk up Bobuck Lane and Banjo Drive

You can watch the Fireworks after the Flare run on Thursday or Saturday night from the balcony at Tombarra 4B - no need to go out in the cold!

With great atmosphere and Thredbo's biggest balcony the local pub is a great place to grab some food and drinks. Picture from: https://www.tripadvisor.com/

Over the summer holidays there are many family focussed events run by Thredbo - check out the link below to see what's on over the summer holiday
